EA's game breaks download records

Electronic Arts' download-only game, Battlefield 1943, has broken single-day and first-week sales numbers on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and the Playstation Network, the company said in a news release.

The game debuted on July 8 and has sold 600,000 copies on both platforms. The game is a first-person shooter and Redwood City-based Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS) priced it at $15.
