We've been making regular mods for years now and people are really starting to get tired of mods. So i think its time we took the initative and started thinking out side the box.

Lets Convert SA not just mod it. I'm talking bout an entirely new game using a modded SA engine with a new storyline, characters, missions, etc.

Topic

CarbonGear, Kotton's Chop shop, Exile and GTA Sheiks lets all join together and make this happen! What'd ya'll say?

WOW! sounds cool ... but this will require alot of alot of processes...

like we hav to pre plan everything and divide the work accordingly....

This project will have its own soundtrack, animations, features etc and it'll be up as game not as a mod.

damn... that's a mighty big bill to foot homie... look how long it took AC to even release stable beta versions, and with IV right around the corner, idk - once IV hits, everyone's gonna be on that dookie like stank on shyt na mean - and like V said, it'll take A LOT of sketches, storyline writing, planning, ect, ect, ect, ect, ect, ect, ect, ect, ect, ect, ect, ect, ect - but yall know me, I'm down for w/e...

You are right but you can't expect anything to pop up just like that.. Rome was not built in a day! It takes time, yea.. it does, but thinking bout the possibilities is enough to motivate anyone who loves GTA. Smile

Bout GTA4, sure its round the corner but think bout the time it'll take to crack the codes and get the sh*t modable like SA! Aren't you tired of doing the same thing like everyone else? Didn't you ever want to standout from the crowd? Well this is our chance...

Kotton can take care of the scripters and we know a lot of people who knows modeling and stuff. I agree, its hard work! but we are modders, that's what we do.

Vehicles: alot....
Weapons: me, Grim
Characters: Grim.(as textures)
Script: Kotton and ZAZ.
Storyline: everybody... (to come up with ideas. the final line will be made by those who make this mod)

Story : We'll make a topic for it if this project is a go

Scripting : Alexe, Kotton, Me, etc

Coding : Kotton, ZAZ, etc

Soundtrack : Kotton , i can help too Razz

Dialogues : Most of us

Raidio : We'll have to come up with somethin ourselves cheese

Vehicle Audio : Just need to change a few audio files, that's easy

Modeling buildings : Well i can help, Salim, Vrainder,

Character Animation : Sharant, I'll help after i learn character animation.

Textures : Urko, Mummi, ALEXE anyone else?

Vehicles : XSB can sort this out. Our theme will be based on the near future so we can
stick to the present day cars with a few new concept cars, Me and Kotton can help with that.

Chracters : Sharant2, Grim etc.

Weapons : Grim, Mummi and Me

Banners, Name and logo : I'll do it Wink

I think the initiative is really really brave, but very inspired as well :victory:
I think doing missions and storyline should only be held as a last last last resort

however scripting would still be required for stuff like Threepwood's speedometer and retractable spoiler and cabrio hard-tops included in all vehicles and that would be a fantastic promo for our TC

but leave mission planning aside until we actually have a map sketched out.

I would be most helpful with supporting you guys, testing and texturing here and there and maybe a lil' bit scripting since I figured out some of Sanny Builder and I can get and apply coordinates and stuff.
I am totally 100% behind this project.
but about GRIM!'s being part of this, I'd have to ask him before we include him in the permanent team roster Smile I'm sure he'd be okay with it. Too bad BeeswaX is too busy with REO#3 and MGS TCs or he would have had a big part in this mod of ours Sad
but the fat lady shall still sing Wink

I have an idea can't we use TDU map it's nice and we whould spend a less more time on modeling a map from scratch Wink or atleast to take textures from there but IT's just an idea

That depends on what the Style is based, if it is a future based style (kinda like Alien City), those TDU buildings are no good, or if it's a medieval based style (kinda like Assassins Creed), they won't work neither Razz I just hope this isn't a "cheap" rip off of AC or GTP.. BTW I'm making a 3D replica of Fuji Speedway, using Gran Turismo 4 as a reference.

AC is a distant future TC and i've never tried GTP. As i mentioned above This TC will be set in the near future as in 10 to 20 years or so. There will be no "cheap" rip off done here. What we'll be doing is make a more realistic game using SA.

@ Mummi : Its better we stick to realistic ones. It'll make the game real Wink
