| Agree with George Max it's a great tool even if it's a bit more complicated than zmodeler. but it has tons of features and things that can make your life easyer. But i guees an opinion from who has used both softwares can be more relevating. | |

| Well.. I find max better to learn because you immediately see where things are.. you have your tools visibly arranged in dropdowns and right-click menus. In ZM I miss all that. | |

| You have all seen my stuff i have created in zmodeler, it´s a very good and easy program with many tools, it´s also free.. all you don´t get with an unregistred version is the function to import diffrent 3d-formats. I have used zmodeler for a very long time, i use it up to 95-99% on each model i create/convert. Zmodeler is my favorite program, and i also recommend you to use it before going on bigger and more powerfull programs like max and more... | |

| I have used zmod for 2 years before moving to max and I gotta say max is alot better to make scratch cars, zmod is better for converts and for smaller scratch work.
But I have droped both zmod and converting so max all the way.

| IMO, ZM2 is easier to learn and model with, but I find Max is easier to convert with, and I like all the features Kam's Script has. So I usually make anything scratch in ZM2, like a wheel or even a whole body for a car, and then convert it with Max. Max is also much better for importing and exporting models, and it does so at a faster speed than ZM, plus it has a whole bunch of available scripts and filters that you can add onto it for other games. You can't really find anything for ZM2, so what's there is there.
Max is also great for rendering and animating, you can't really do any of that in ZM2. It is a simple program and easier to learn and model with, but I like Max for it's features, tools and customisability. Plus you can get skins for it. On the other hand ZM is free, and as long as you save all your projects to a .Z3D file if something goes wrong, you won't really need the import functions.

| you cannot beat zmodeler with converting to gta, all its tools are uncluttered leaving you with room to make a quick convert.
however, max is way more advanced and is way better with modeling, rendering and animation, i recommend you try zmodeler first then try max, which will give u the ability to use both.

| Zmodeler is easier and much more simplier to learn and use, but the 3dsmax is much more harder to learn and to use but if you compare it to zmod modeling wise, 3dsmax is better. | |

| i voted Max, becuz i find it way better for the things i'm using it for. just putting a few things together in a scene and add an effect.. Zmod wouldnt stand a chance there. besides. Max got the texting tool.. for me, thats priceless. and it has been several times. But Zmod were made mainly for game-modding. Max were made for far more things.. i'm far from sure, but i think thats what Pixar, Dreamworks etc etc. used for their 3D movies. and thats the place where all the special effects for movies are made. but as i said, i'm far from sure. | |

| well, ya'll know what i'd hav voted for. its true max can be frustrating at first... especially for those who migrate from zMod to max (like me)... the most odd thing a zMod user may find in max is... navigating viewports... once that becomes clear... max truns into a wonderful world... - Spoiler:
thats my personla experience LOL
