Should I kill Vista or Just Bill Gates??

Still isn't working, I think it's the hard drive but that Vista doesn't help anything, I never saw that on any XP...

I've never encountered anything like this b4. But i'll ask my cousin, he's good at these kinda stuff n maybe he'll know. But from my side the only logical explanation i see here is that ur hardrive is ok, there's nothing wrong with it, ur vista installation disc must be corrupted. Well idk if this really matters but did u install it on ur primary drive? ( usually C: )

u can try intalling xp again and defrag ur drives and then install vista...

P.S. Get rid of vista and install XP SP2 and wait for Vista SP2 if there will be any. Vistas s***s

lol hey there can be 2 possibilities first u have to format the drive in which u install ur new windows and see if the drive have enought free space second is that sometimes the power plug to the harddisk gets loose so u shall replug it tightly then again turn ur pc .or as eze said the vista installation disc must be corrupted.

Before I install any other OS I need to search arround for drivers, drivers for the GFX, Audio card, monitor and so on

Hard drive is dead, gonna change it for a 160gB ^^

bah... i have 48 GB on D and 29 gb on C... but i cant find external HD's with 100gb or less.. i dont need 500 gb and besides 500gb is expencive

may be your HD is not dead
I think your hrad drives partition format is wrong for vista...
You might have FAT32 kindaa partition,so change it first to newer version
That is NTFS and then install vista....
oh! one more thing....
If this has fixed your prob. then don't buy a new HD rather buy a new RAM
i've heard that for vista, one mist have 2GBs or more RAM memory
for smooth and fast work of your computer.

After tis confugration your computer may behave like this...

I'm just recovering from a serious hardware malfunction. It took 3 days to zero in on what was causing all these problems on my pc. (Network Card) I had to removed the little s**ker and reinstall XP SP2. Now my pc's as good as new.

I use too XP SP2 but on my father laptop is Vista bcuz the drivers for it are only for Vista

I'm using a modified version of Xp, with SP3 and some of Vista's features....it's called Windows Ice XP, and I think it's just an awesome operative system

Vista s**ks big, even if you remove it it'll keep giving you rpoblems, as it happened with my friend's laptop...after removing Vista, nothing worked!!! Webcam, LAN, nothing!!! HE's still looking for the necessary drivers, but so far he didn't have any luck...

I've tried using the custom XP SP3 but for some strange reason the installation kept failing...
