| Well I know.. you can hardly avoid it by not welding the outer edges. Thats why I never weld verts, I only weld edges/lines. So as long as I do not weld the outer lines, it does not happen. Sadly, the TDU meshes have their own kind of weird bugs - they are horror! Not black, but white shadows on the mesh which only can be seen ingame, and have no relation to edges. Thats worse. | |

| well.. im refining the black doorlines to be 3D, and also am working on the fuel cap. Thats a hell of a nightmare to model. The base of the engine is ready, but i still have to model all its surroundings. Oh yeah, im modeling the rim, too. And the badges. Aaand new headlights. I'm trying to make it all 3D. | |

| No Fuji, never had such a mess with TDU cars. Some broken elements, yes. Here and there some broken, yes. But not ALL PARTS broken. Thats odd and hell of a work. I'll see if I have enough time and will to finish this car anyway. Doing other projects too, so I do not get bored too fast just doing this annoying mesh. I'll see | |

| OT: yea, this is a Holden engine, like all JTS engines (which means all new Alfa Romeo petrol engines)...
The Twin Spark, in either the 1.7, 1.8 and 2.0L trims, was discontinued, only the 1,6 remains but it's gonna be replaced soon (only the 147 mounts it); that is because of the anti-pollution rules introduced in Europe and because of the Fiat\GM deal that used to be signed...even the 1.4 16v engine mounted on the Grande Punto Starjet, 500 and Panda 100HP is a GM-derived engine...
Also the Alfa Romeo V6 engine, the glorious Busso, was discontinued in 2005 in favour of the Holden Twin Phaser GTA...sure, it has more power (260HP versus the 240 the Busso has in the 3.2 trim), but it's nowhere as good as the old Italian stallion that used to power all our best cars...the last one to carry it was the 156 GTA, since the 147 GTA and the GT it was replaced...only few rare 147 GTA and Alfa GT can be found with the Busso engine on...obviously, even this was because of the Euro 5 anti-pollution rules...
Long live the glorious Busso engine...we will always remember you, and your creator, engineer Giuseppe Busso...much respect, rest in peace...
End OT | |
