| Wich version of txd workshop????? version 3.7 will have less problems cuase this version resizes the imported images to the right size. Version 4.0 does not and images must be binary values 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,512,1024,2048
so a image size that is 512x255 will crash version 4.0 and must be 512x256
then i kinda had some problems adding files first you can do is uncompress all images in the txd( klick "image" and in the pulldownmenu select uncompress all images) then press "ins" and select the imagedepth Mostly 16 or 32 bit then doubleklick and name it, and if you use alpha, select it before naming the texture. then save the file and then start importing the image(s) if it crashes , you still have the saved file with the texture names.
when you're done, save the txd and close txdworkshop start workshop again, open the file again klick "image" in the puldown menu select compress all images and wait. then save..
hope this helps | |

i don't get that thing in my txd :S mine just get stretched to the closest res.. so a 512x255 would be resized to 512x256 but with minor incorrect-ness.. - dadude wrote:

And Neos7, why do u start talkn about how to get dds into a supported format ? besides, use the nvidia plugin to photoshop.. much better..

| at google it states that this is a compression problem from workshop 4.0 in combination with windows vista and windows 7 Compression: in the TXD it is written behind the texture... DX1 compressed No alpha, DX3 compressed with alpha i don't get that problem with version 3.7
download this movie you see i get also problems with version 4.0, just shuts down when compressing all textures again, but i fixed it with version 3.7
version 3.7 : download here
WARNING!!! version 3.7 can NOT handle images bigger then 1024x1024, it will resize them to 1024x1024

| that's why i asked for the resized images you made. i wanted to inspect them to see where the error comes from..
i use acdsee 8.0 or paintshoppro7.0 , but acdsee 8.0 has a better resize filter that keeps the quality still very good.
