A CHANCE TO LEARN MODDING!

Hi everyone!

Since the online rep of CG dropped seriously in the past few months, i decided to recruit some modders into the official CG modding group.

I'll teach you the basics of converting to IV or San Andreas, using NFS or Juiced2 meshes, via MSN or ICQ.

the selected people will be notified in a PM, and would be asked to give an MSN/ICQ ID


terms: mods MUST be exclusive for CG (and possibly Kotton's Chop Shop) for at least 15 days, CG testers MUST get a beta version if they ask for it, and (if you make the car having paintjobs) the car must have at least one CG paintjob. Of course, readme has to contain a CarbonGear link.

well i always wanted to make mods i have lot of freetime in the evenings ... i would like to convert so cars from Sa to GTA IV , AND NFs series > GTA IV ..... and if i success they will be only for CG exclusive for ever! somebody teach me im not a dumb!

really really nice idea man ,i actually wnna join in but the problem is my pc, not have a real videocard yet and in my holidays time i will are working with my family in a garage of mechanic for cars, if this modder recruiting would be a year after, i sure wanna join in.

yeah idea is great cause CG is getting kinda drowned , so if i manage to learn converting ill convert lot of cars for GTA IV. and tutorial will be also great ...

I hoped someone was gonna say something funny.. or idk. I had a bit of a mindfuck, since i came directly from the courtyard.... complicated things, dont wanna explain. Dont worry, i wont end up in the jail (hopefully )

i dont know if i would be a modder some day, but i really want model in zmod or 3dsmax, only need work, get money and but a real videocard, if i can do it, i'll give the advice here (in some part of the forum) and will start reading tuto's made for try some

I allready know how to convert parts from Juiced2 but that with the texturing and with whole car converting that i dont know so would be cool if i would know how to do it so i of course do some CG cars ^^

I want to learn more about converting,until now I just know converting from Juiced 2,but I want to learn to convert from other games, like NFS Games like Shift, rFactor and that. So I'm free.
I'm just free for San Andras. My PC isn't good enough to play GTAIV :S.

well, at least if you can model, you have a good pc eh me have a crappy pc, only 256 mb of ram, 733mhz and nothing more.

I want to learn modding! But I need to look at my computer specs first...

I actually wanna try converting from my Gran Turismo, my favourite game other than GTA and NFS.

there is no chance to convert from Gran Turismo.

unless someone makes a way to use PS2 CDs in PCs

ye would be cool,or to convert a car from GT5,but would be very hard. Well my pc is shit too

i know but i was meaning if someone creates something like a DVD-ROM to read PS2 DVDs on the PC...

you mean running a PS2 game in DX9 environment. AFAIK, thats not possible.

guys u can emulate the game on the pc with Pcx2 and u can also play it online with the pc!! but 3D Ripper X only rips 3d models of games that use DirectX 7 or 8 at least and i dunno about GT4 if uses it
