| nice set of cars,man.. i'm doing my license at this moment, and finally, i decided my first ride: '90 Honda CRX (the small one, with 1.6 VTEC engine..) of course, the first thing i'll do to it after buying it will be a brake tuning, since the old ones suck (really.. riding in one with stock brakes is more thrilling then watchin all the saw episodes in a row, one dude of mine had one.. once,he took me to a round, the day after he crashed into a tree cuz he couldnt stop) its a light compact car, so its really powerful, its kinda old,so taxes here are not too much to it, and its not too powerful to be insured | |

| Small one? With a fuckin VTEC! that's pure sickness, I wish I had one (just the engine). My mom told me I can have her Ford Fiesta (1996) and the car needs to get some upgrades, like paint, engine (it's actually ok but i think it's too slow ) and maybe some set of german rims, to get that european clean and low style :vinsent: | |

| ????? SW?? 3.0 engine?? Bigger turbo?? 20"rims??
first, that car wil be damn fast, you can get killed if you not customed to fast cars. Second, are you sure about the 20" you can't lower the car anymore or else the pop thru the fenders.
but i must agree, the 308 sw model looks very good.

| im not a fan of lowered cars and a break car lowered -wtf? lol well, for that car im into speed, good looking and nice aceleration.. i'd never buy a veyron if i had the money, the thing in it is the speed not the acceleration like my fathers 206 SW -the acceleration is s*it but you gain speed while u drive.. | |

| Personally,i dont like french cars (except for the 406 coupé)..
'bout the CRX: i've browsed thru the net and realised that it doesnt worth it, and my classmate told me tht her father imports used cars from germany. So i guess i'm gonna take an Opel Astra G Bertone Coupé. 1.6/1.8/2.0 non-turbo. The turbo will get me killed. But if the turbo version would be cheap enough on ebay...
@George: well.. the SWs are the biggest as far as i know, a CRX would beat it outta the hell. But a CRX is too small sadly, i tried sitting in into one,but... lets say it is complicated for me (i'm 195 tall)

| they look big but the single thing is that idk how peugeot does but they arent heavy, my fathers 206 has 900kg, this 308 has 1.2 tones... the engine is big tho, 3000cc turbo diesel, the crx has no chance.. especially with that tuned turbo again no chance lolz.. | |

| Uhh.. you know that this was bullshit, right? a touring car cant be 1.2tons heavy. And a CRX is a LOT faster then that 3.0TDI, and if you throw a turbo into the CRX, you probably would kill yourself. (AFAIK, the civics and CRX's are called as "road coffins" in germany) | |

| Let me tell you my car enthusiast opinion about this CRX vs 308 SW diesel with turbo 5 times bigger and 20 rims.... 1) Power to weight ratio: the CRX weighs almost nothing, and with the 1.6 VTEC engine, developing 130hp, it's friggin fast. It's not a Turbo, but the VTEC system makes up for that very well...believe me, I've seen a Civic ESI with the same engine destroying a tuned Grande Punto 1.3 multijet...and he didn't even push the Civic to the limit... 2) 20" rims will make your car lose power incredibly...the car will accelerate way slower than normal, top speed will remain the same, and fuel efficiency will be worse. The CRX has 14-15 rims, which means it can go fast as hell. 3) 5 times bigger turbo? Ok...then we will see how you will manage to beat the crap out of a VTEC engine with the IMMENSELY HUGE turbolag that will come together with that huge turbo...turbolag made a Lancer FQ400 be beaten by a Stilo Multiwagon 1.6, so don't underestimate it, especially on diesels....Top Gear teaches us a lot... 4) Chassis: a station wagon isn't made to go fast. I know what I'm talking about considering I own, together with the Bravo, a Laguna 1.9 dci Grandtour, so believe me when I tell you that, at high speed, the tail tends to go crazy, and make you lose control, while that won't happen on a CRX... 5) Big engine doesn't mean easy win...look at the Rover P5 for example, 3.0 straight 6 engine...still, that's fukin slow, 0-100 km\h in 17 seconds...always remember this, a big engine weighs a lot, and considering the 308 is FWD, all that weight is on the front wheels, which also have to steer and unleash all the engine power...all that, together with your tuned 5x bigger turbo, means UNDERSTEER. So, looks like the one without any chance, apart for a race on a straight line, it's you... | |

| Actually.. imo he'd even lose on a straight race line... at least if he doesnt install a twin-turbo system similar to the R34's. | |

| @George: u should really learn how to scratch model a car.. i think u could be the first to make a 308 or a Peugeot SW for that matter and about the veyron. i wouldnt have even as a present.. too expensive in incurrance(?), gasoline and if u make a bad turn and get a scratch on the paint.. thats prolly $20g going out the window. 2 years left, and i can get me my favorite car the '07 Shelby GT500 | |
